1. How do I make an appointment Simply telephone our office at (817) 534-2818 and ask to make an appointment. A counselor will either speak with you directly or call you back within a reasonable time to schedule an appointment as quickly as possible. We can usually see new clients within a week, sometimes within a day or two, depending on the flexibility of your schedule.

2. How much will it cost?
ONSITE COUNSELING: Our full fee is $100 an hour; $50 for a half hour. We accept most insurance
plans. Call our office to verify specific coverage. Because the
Family Counseling Center Association is
a non-profit organization serving the
needs of the community, counseling services
can be offered on a sliding scale for
those who do not have insurance and cannot
pay the full fee.
ONLINE COUNSELING: We charge $15/email. We accept payment online with Mastercard and Visa or we can arrange for payment by phone or mail. For more information about email counseling, click here.

3. Where are you located?

We are approximately four miles east of downtown Fort Worth and one mile south
of I-30 on Oakland Boulevard. For detailed driving directions, call

4. Are services confidential?
All personal information collected in
association with the web site will only
be used for the purpose of providing for
the client a safe, therapeutic experience
and it will never be distributed or sold
to anyone outside the Family Counseling
Center Association.
Any information a visitor/client gives on the bulletin board is NOT confidential, simply because the nature of a bulletin board is to have and facilitate open discussion. Please do not post any personal or identifying information about yourself on the bulletin board if you do not want others to see it.
During counseling, testing, consulting and email counseling sessions, all disclosures and test results between the counselor and the client will be held in confidence within the restrictions of Texas state law. Exceptions to confidentiality include cases in which: (1) illegal activity is occuring (such as physical or sexual abuse); (2) the purpose of counseling is to obtain a court evaluation; or (3) legal action regarding the therapy itself (such as malpractice suit) is in progress.

5. What do I do if this is an emergency?
IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, if you feel suicidal or if you feel like you want to hurt yourself of someone else, CALL 911, call your DOCTOR, or go to the nearest EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY!

6. What are your staff's qualifications?
Our counselors, Dr. Roger Doss and Dr. Carol
Doss are certified
and licensed in the state of Texas. All
have graduate degrees and intensive clinical
training to equip them to function in
a caring, supportive manner to bring out

7. What kind of counseling do you do?
ONSITE COUNSELING
We offer individual, marital/couple, family, play therapy, group, grief recovery and career counseling. For more information about these types of counseling, click here.

8. Do you offer testing?
Yes, in our offices, we offer standardized personality, vocational, maturational, and intelligence tests. The results are used to assist and guide in one's total life development. What follows is a list of those tests that we most frequently administer.
